Polysomnographic Technology Diploma Program Overview This program is designed to prepare students for the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) exam offered through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). Working under the supervision of a Certified Sleep Technologist or Medical Director, the Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluations of sleep disorders and suggests treatment plans for patients. In Polysomnographic Technology, the technologist performs and studies overnight, daytime, or home sleep studies (called polysomnograms) on patients with suspected sleeping disorders.
